VITALITY OF A DAFFODIL

30/10/2018

Picture
Even though a daffodil fades at the end of spring, there is a well of life held within the bulb, which is ready to sprout again in response to the call of the seasons .  .  .

Could it be that this life within me is like the vitality within the daffodil bulb that causes that bulb to flourish?
As I edge towards the end of the 70’s and embrace the Joy of Ageing Esoterically, I can offer that even though the body displays a wearing out as does a daffodil, I can still feel a well of divine life within me when I reconnect to this being-ness.

Is vitality the evidence of an energy, a reflection of the Light that dwells within each of us, rather than a ‘force’ that displays how fit we are physically?

On reflecting on my life I have often wondered whether vitality really was in evidence as I regularly and vigorously walked down a sandy path on my way to a wild ocean at Tallow Beach. Or the man who seemed to enjoy his set routine of jogging up and down, back and forth relentlessly while spitting over his shoulder as he strove to master the miles, was he actually displaying vitality? Or indeed, I wondered whether there was more evidence of vitality in the sparkling eyes of a dear old soul that I sat with recently, as she lay in a hospital bed, accepting her moment in time in connection to God. To me there was more vitality, life and light evident here than on the jogging track.

Is this element of vitality possibly the evidence of ‘being’ - being in connection with Truth and Love and indeed of all things of the Universe?

It seems to me, as a consequence of my own past wayward experiences, that some of the essentials to support this re-connection to our being-ness is the choice of our lifestyle, our food choices, and basically whatever it is that passes between our lips.

I have noticed from my own experience of many years of oscillating energy levels that my energy fluctuated according to how much I was connecting to and honouring my body, and appreciating the depth of my sacredness and divinity.

If we take the time to connect to that deeper well of wisdom within we reconnect with our being-ness, and the vital life within can flourish again, like the vitality of the daffodil.
