TESTIMONIALS FOR THE BOOK
TESTIMONIAL
Dear Mum,
This is a book that I absolutely love, it has only recently come to print and many of the women in the book I know personally, many of them are dear friends…. they have inspired me and I wanted you to have a copy because this book can inspire every woman. It can inspire every woman to know that her age does not define her beauty or her worth – it does not define who she is. But more than that, a woman who embraces her elder years emanates a beauty that is timeless and ageless and which inspires younger women like me – not to fall for the false images of what it is to be a woman that we a re bamboozled with by the media and society, but to know that our true sense of worth can never come from outside of us, from what we do or don’t do – but from who we are.
I have strong in my memory a time when I was little and I was in your bed, and I asked you – Mummy, what do you want me to be when I grow up? You looked at me, your face and eyes full of your tenderness and you said – ‘I don’t want you to do anything specific Katerina, I just want you to be happy.’
That was a precious moment - what I took away from it, was that it wasn’t what I would do in life that would see me succeed or fail, but me simply allowing myself to be me, the real me in the world, and in the grand playground of life.
This book is filled with stories of women from their 50s to their 80s, all from different walks of life, from different parts of the world, many of whom have been through very difficult and challenging times as can so often be the case in life – who are so comfortable in their skin as older women, it is pure joy. In fact, they celebrate themselves and their age and their beauty simply glows. So I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Let it rekindle the timeless beauty that I see in your eyes every time we speak on Skype – even if this beauty that you are, you might not be able to see yourself.
With all my love

TESTIMONIAL
I came across The Joy of Ageing, Esoterically last year and was so inspired by the elder women and men’s stories, ageing from their 50s through to the 80s that I purchased several more copies to give to dear friends. Each and every story has a uniqueness and quality that reached out and offered me new insights into my own life. To feel the joy, zest, love and commitment they each have to life was glorious. It clearly showed me how we all have the ability to turn our lives around, no matter our age, or what we have experienced thus far.
I now realise that we indeed have a purpose and a very important purpose at that. I had been led to believe that we become useless, have nothing to offer and are pretty much just a burden on society as we enter our elder years.
This book turns that belief completely on its head, in fact it is imperative that we live fully and engage with life right up until our last breath!!

The Joy of Ageing book and this website have wonderful inspiring articles on how we can appreciate and enjoy our elder years. That there is always more to re-discover within ourselves and it's never too late to make the loving changes to bring that into fruition.

TESTIMONIAL
Dear Joy of Ageing,
It seems appropriate to share with you a very lovely little ‘aside’ that occurred this morning while I was waiting in the reception area of the Hydrotherapy Centre that I attend.
Next to me was the long glass and timber side table where a copy of The Joy of Ageing, Esoterically usually resides, which I donated to the Centre a few weeks after the book was published.
Sometimes it is covered over with the daily newspapers, but today, once again it was the only object that graced this piece of furniture.
The Proprietor of the Physiotherapy Centre approached me and shared that there has not been a week that has passed since this book was first put on the table that someone has not sat there reading an article or two while waiting for their appointment. She said sincerely that each person who has picked up the book had commented to her that it is lovely book, and indeed a valuable addition to the waiting area.
With love,

TESTIMONIAL
On reflection regarding the book, ‘The Joy of Ageing, Esoterically’, what immediately became apparent was the fact that there is a joy in the ageing process, as verified by most people’s writing.
But what has stood out for me more through the stories shared in this book is just how far we have all moved away from our true selves, and often it took an event – such an accident, an illness or a relationship issue – that seemed to bring everyone, as shared in the book and including myself, back to this realisation that there is more to life than our temporal existence.
What also was very clear was that as everyone healed the ‘what is not who they truly are within’, there was an increase of energy, they were better able to participate in life, more able to express clearly, felt a new level of energy despite their ageing process, and most of all felt a connection with the whole of humanity.
Given all these facts, who would not want to be more themselves in life, and more able to just be themselves without any emotional overload as to how they are truly feeling within.
This is the paramount experience that I gained from reading and re-reading The Joy of Ageing stories as presented by people of all ages from their 50’s to their 80’s.
