BOOK REVIEWS – An Introduction

We have created a Book Review page so that our readers have a quick reference for a good book to snuggle up with or for a gift. The books cover a vast range of topics. We review books which relate a personal story and the life lessons learnt, and books which open your eyes to a new way of seeing what is actually going on in the world around us. Reviews will include non-imposing books for children and books to expand your recipe library. It is likely that you will be inspired by all the authors. Breathing my own Breath is a beautiful story of a woman who from a young age knew that there was way more to life than what she had so far experienced. The author, Donna Nolan, asked the hard questions “Who am I?” and “Why am I here?” This led her on a road of searching and discovering.

The Leadership Trance is packed with real life examples of what the author has lived and discovered about our current way of life. It is a book full of facts and figures which many readers will recognise and others will find eye-opening and truly surprising.

Not only possible but tried and tested. Who would have thought that the words ‘joy’ and ‘ageing’ could come together and provide a book title that is neither wishful thinking nor an idealised and thus unrealistic picture, like those taken from the advertising material for yet another retirement village, depicting an elderly couple walking off into the sunset with a glass of something alcoholic in their hands.
