BOOK REVIEWS – An Introduction

2/2/2022

We have created a Book Review page so that our readers have a quick reference for a good book to snuggle up with or for a gift. The books cover a vast range of topics.  We review books which relate a personal story and the life lessons learnt, and books which open your eyes to a new way of seeing what is actually going on in the world around us. Reviews will include non-imposing books for children and books to expand your recipe library. It is likely that you will be inspired by all the authors. There is a link at the bottom of each review as to where you can buy the book.

Throughout the centuries, Shakespeare has always had two types of readers – those who love his work and those who don’t! It has been years since I’ve been so impressed by a book that I actually wanted to write a book review! But that is exactly what happened – before I even finished reading

The Joy of ageing, esoterically – Book Review

30/4/2021

Picture
Not only possible but tried and tested. Who would have thought that the words ‘joy’ and ‘ageing’ could come together and provide a book title that is neither wishful thinking nor an idealised and thus unrealistic picture, like those taken from the advertising material for yet another retirement village, depicting an elderly couple walking off into the sunset with a glass of something alcoholic in their hands.
